ITINERARY 6 DAYS 5 NIGHT TO BUSAN AND SEOUL (BACKPACKERS STYLE)

If I were to calculate,this is the second time I post for this year.Ya Ampun pemalasnya si Dayang ni kan...

Okey without further due,let just straight to our main point. A week before,saya,kakak sya together with our cousin and friend travel ke Korea selama 6 hari 5 malam. We went to Busan and Seoul.

Flight ke Busan lebih murah compare to Seoul so thats why we choose to head to Busan first then only pergi ke Seoul naik train. As usual kami naik Air Asia X sbb itu shja yg paling murah.Korean citizen sendiri pun naik Air Asia uolls.

So first of course what we need is an itinerary right? So here it is (Please click on the image to get larger view)

As you can see from our itinerary there are a few places yg memang kitaorg xpergi (Petite France etc) tapi we put it as an option in case kalau korang berminat untuk melawat ke tempat2 tersebut ,kami dah senarai siap2 dlm itinerary ini.Hehe.

My itinerary might not be the same with others ,yelah kan lain org lain kan. By the way kami ni jenis backpacker so maybe tak sesuai utk org yg pentingkan keselesaan ketika travel.

Being Research Assistant in UM

Assalamualaikum. Hello there.

Lama kan tak menulis. Yes I'm so lazy to squeeze my brain to write new post here.

So I actually dah kerja sebagai Research Assistant di Universiti Malaya for a month now. And a lot of people (my friend actually)  tanya about being Research Assistant here in UM. And many actually has mistakenly thought I'm doing Master here. But hey bukan tau, tapi insyaAllah ada peluang nak jugak. Kita doa sama2 k. :)

OK first.

My friend, Safiah yang suruh I apply jadi RA sebab dia dapat kerja jadi RA di Jabatan Kimia. So I apply bulan Oktober tapi dapat offer job ni masa January. Haa lama tau, igtkan memang tak dapat but Alhamdulillah who knows rezeki Allah tu ada je,sabar.

So nak jadi RA dekat UM memang ada banyak peluang since they are open to all (Malaysian citizen only) and it is easy to apply according to the project that suits your Degree.

Basic things you need to know about being RA (based on my experience, it may be differ to some)

1) It is not a permanent job. As you can see, if you assigned to a project there must be duration time kan to complete the project. As the project finish, so will be your job.

2) Some project requires you to register as postgraduate student. Not all but some.

3) There is a good opportunity to further Master. To some case (not all okey) , some supervisors ada yang baik hati akan tawarkan you untuk sambung Master after you dah kerja sebagai RA dengan dia. But you will need to write new paper (means you need to do new reseach project). So for second class grader, don't worry, you still has the chance to further your study.

4)  If you want to have high income being an RA, then you should quit and find other job. Being an RA was never about money. Reality is, the basic income for an RA is RM1.5K and if the grant is high it can goes up to RM 2K. It all depends on the grant actually. Being an RA is more because of the knowledge that you want to learn.

5) Being an RA you will have flexible time here. You can still run your errand while working without ever worried if your boss gonna find out. Because actually, there is no boss here. You work by your own, but of course you need to finish your job and have a good outcome for your research.

6) You can do other job too. Besides being an RA, I also become lab demonstrator at Engineering Department in UM. Bayaran gaji pun lain2 yea.

Trip to Kundasang : Part 2

Hmm sorry sebab lambat update, ada yg tanya mana second part, haa nilah nak buat, Hee maaf.

K here we go.

• Dari Kundasang War Memorial, we decide to go to Luanti Fish Spa which is situated in Ranau. Jauh jugaklah dari Kundasang. 


• Sebelum ke Ranau, we decide to stop by at Pine Resort. Baca dalam blog orang, resort ni beri view pekan Kundsasang yang cantik. Harga menginap kat situ pun cantik jugaklah. 

Fefeeling luar negara.

Ni lah Pine Resort!

Dalam Pine Resort ada Rabbit House, which pengunjung macam
 kita boleh beri makanan pada arnab2 yg comel  gebu ni.

• Dah santai2 dekat Pine Resort, we went straight to pekan Ranau. Cuaca di Ranau dah tak sejuk macam Kundasang. Dah boleh bukak sweater semua yea. 
• Jalan ke pekan Ranau straight je. Ranau lebih maju berbanding Kundasang. Ada The Store,mini market semua.
• Rupanya, ladang Teh Sabah bersebelahan dengan Luanti Fish Spa tu. So bila dah nampak signboard 'Teh Sabah' tu means dah sampai lah Luanti Fish Spa.

Sinilah Luanti Fish Spa.

• Entrance tiket, Rm5 seorang yea. Otw nk ke sungai tu, ada jual mcm2 kuih muih. Bolehlah beli buat lapik perut.
• Sebenarnya ada charge dikenakan kalau nak bergambar di sini. Tak silap RM3 satu grup. Tapi kami ambil senyap2 je. Sini pun ada jual pellet ikan dgn harga 20/40 sen (xigt) utk satu peket.

Ada dua saiz ikan. Satu yang besar mcm ikan keli, lagi satu besar macam ikan emas.

• For me, hmm Fish Spa sini biasa saje sebab ikan2 di sini sebenarnya tak gigit pun. Diaorg just nak makanan dari kita. Dayang bagi 3 bintang. 

Lepas dah main2 dengan ikan ,bolehlah panjat titi di sini. 

• Dari pekan Ranau, kami decide untuk pergi ke Kinabalu Park pulak. Dekat sinilah tempat starting point untuk hiking. Entrance ke Kinabalu Park is RM3 sorang.

Tapi sayangnya kami sampai petang, kabus tebal naik. Tak nampak langsung kelibat Gunung Kinabalu.

Sepatutnya ada kelibat Gunung Kinabalu yg cantik hmm tapi kabus tebal tutup.
Me so sad. ;(

• Dah habis ronda2 around Kinabalu Park, kami pun balik. Dah 5 petang Cik Kiah oi.Hari pun dah gelap. 
• Esok hari tu actually our last day kat Kundasang. We decide to get out early sebab nak tengok Gunung Kinabalu again! :)

• Actually dalam perjalanan nak balik tu, boleh je singgah tepi jalan ambil gambar dgn gunung. Tapi kena keluar awal tau.

I'm gonna miss Kundasang. :)

Trip to Kundasang : Part 1

First Day.

• Our flight that day is at 7.30 am ,so nak atau x, we should be in KLIA2 around 5 am. From Ipoh, I naik Star Shuttle to KLIA2 with my cousin , Kak Qilah. Bas bertolak jam 11.30 pm dan smpai dalam jam 2.30 am. Bila dah sampai sana, first thing yg kitaorg buat ialah cari tmpat tidur, tak kisahlah tepi kedai, surau (usually dah penuh) atau kerusi (pun penuh jugak).

• Kami naik flight Malindo Airlines , the journey lebih kurang dlm 1hr 45 min. So technically we arrived at 9.30 am mcm tu. Kitaorg makan KFC dalam airport terminal2 sbb xbyak restoran pun. Sementara tunggu En. Shahril (sewa kereta) sampai, I go and went to Tourism Booth to ask about everything pasal Kundasang, places to go,etc...kena rajin bertanya okey, kalau tak sesat jalan.
• Encik Shahril sampai dlm 11 am mcm tu, so dari situ kitaorg drive sat ke Terminal1 before heading to Kundasang sebab nak bayar extra luggage untuk flight balik ke KL (as I mention before, kalau naik Air Asia kena bayar extra luggage utk check in luggage sebab it is excluded from ticket flight). Fyi, dekat KK ada dua airport terminal which is Terminal1 (for Air Asia flight only) and Terminal2 (other than Air Asia flight,example Malindo Airlines)
• From KK to Kundasang takes around less than 2 hours. Kalau naik kereta Viva atau kancil (better not) , take turn between your friend/family to drive sebab penat weh naik kereta kecik bawak pi jalan berbukit-bukau bagai! And believe me, sepanjang ke Kundasang you will see a lot of 4-wheel drive and treller panjang, plus bila dah sampai ke area Kundasang memang kabus je (mybe sebab musim hujan), so pergi awal pagi okey & hati2 ketika memandu. Pesanan khas dari Dayang Nur Hidayah.  
• Jalan ke Kundasang memang straight je. Senang tapi kalau dah terlepas simpang susah sikit nak U-turn sebab jalan kecik dan ada banyak treller lalu.

• We checked-in Ayana Resort. Okey the view memang Subhanallah superb. Kiri kanan semua kawasan pergunungan. Lagi satu, aircond kat sana semulajadi sebab memang iklim sejuk. Citizen pun semua muka ala-ala Stacy dan baik-baik. Sepanjang berada di Kundasang jugak korang akn lihat ada banyak anjing,besar dan tebal bulu2 depa. Jangan terkejut kalau korang singgah mana2 kedai ada 3 ekor anjing besar duduk dalam tu sebab I dah alaminya. 

• What you need to know about Kundasang bila jam 5 petang dah start gelap macam maghrib, so xbanyak aktiviti yg boleh buat except berehat di hotel. So that’s why kena bangun awal jam 5.30 am kalau nak sightseeing around Kundasang.6 - 7.30 am is the best time to see Mount Kinabalu, sebab lepas daripada jam 8 pagi, kabus naik & tutup Gunung Kinabalu. Rugilah kan dah sampai Kundasang tapi terlepas tengok Gunung Kinabalu. :/ 

• So basically our first day dekat Sabah more to going-to-destination instead of sightseeing. Sampai ke Kundasang ktaorg berehat di resort. Yelah dari Ipoh ke KLIA2 then ke KK then ke Kundasang tanpa rehat mencukupi,mestilah letih T.T. 

Second day

Our second day starts at 6.30 am. You have to go out earlier okey kat Kundasang to get the best view.

View from our resort. Masa ni around 6.30-7.00 am. Cantik kan..sekeliling kami semua kawasan pergunungan.

Yang ni betul2 dekat main entrance resort kami, boleh nampak view gunung Kinabalu.
Masa ni almost 7 am,dah nak bergerak.
My outfit harini acah2 mcm nak hiking eventhough xpun sebenarnya. :P

• Our first stop is to Desa Cattle Dairy Farm which took around 30 minutes to go from our resort. Along the way, akan ada satu tanah lapang which is one of the best spot to take picture with Mount Kinabalu. Later I tell you list of places best to take with Mount Kinabalu yea..

Here how it looks like. :)

• Bila dah sampai ke Pekan Kundasang you will be amaze of the scenery around you sebab serius cantik sangat. 

We arrived at pekan Kundasang. Picture taken at roadside near with roundabout. Mana2 pun pergi dekat area pekan
Kundasang,memang ini view dia. You will see clearly Mount Kinabalu, but only before 8 am okey.

• Jalan ke Desa Cattle Farm agak dalam sedikit dan berbukit. Again I remind not to use small cars okey. :)
• Fees untuk masuk ke Desa Cattle Dairy Farm is just RM5. Murah kan! Dahlah view cantik,memang berbaloi. 

Dah sampai!

Jalan dalam Desa Cattle tak rata dan berlubang. Drive carefully.

We are on our way to see Lembu ‘New Zealand’ . It’s 8 am already,
 kabus dah mula naik dan selubungi Gunung Kinabalu.

Tak perlu ke NZ, Kundasang pun ada lembu ‘mat salleh’ :)

• Dalam Desa Cattle Dairy ada jual fresh milk Ice Cream dengan harga RM4. Murah okey. Kalau dekat Milkcow jual RM8 tau. Selain tu diaorg pun ada jual cenderamata, fridge magnet,yogurt,popcorn,etc..

• For better taste, beli vanilla fresh ice cream and strawberry yogurt and mix both of them together. Seriously sedap, I promise. 
• They also provide feeding milk to kid and calf with only RM1 for one bottle. Bagi siapa2 yg xpernah ada pengalaman bela lembu/kambing (mcm sya) should try this. 

Bagus 4 ekor anak lembu ni beratur untuk tunggu turn minum susu. Dahlah beli satu botol je. 

• Desa Cattle Dairy Farm offers many beautiful places to take picture. Tempat wajib untuk bergambar adalah atas batu besar. Dalam Desa ni ada 3 batu besar which you need to take your own caution bila bergambar sebab kena panjat atas batu tu. 

Dua batu je yang mampu panjat.  >.<

• After settling at Desa Cattle, we went to Kundasang War Memorial which is actually situtated  near with the roundabout. You will find along the way back to Pekan Kundasang. 

Here it is. Kecik je main entrance tapi dalam dia luas.

• Kundasang War Memorial is actually a memorial place as a tribute to Australian soldiers who died to protect Kundasang from the colonial (perhaps Japan, forgive me if I’m wrong.) 
• Tempat ni ada ciri2 English as if you rasa macam berada di luar negara pulak.

Kalau datang awal pagi boleh nampak view gunung Kinabalu dari sini. 

Kundasang Memorial ni ada dua taman ; English Garden & Borneo Garden.
Tak boleh main petik mana2 bunga tau sebab diaorg pasang CCTV.

 I gigih lagi baca habis  stu dua plag,lepas tu dah malas dah.
Nak enjoy the view je.

Trip to Kundasang : How to budget

Ahh lamanya tak update blog.Sorry sangat sebab I’ve been busy this few months and many things happen actually dalam masa tu.Okey let’s just straight to the point. Today I’m going to make a post on my trip to Kundasang,Sabah (waaaa) . Actually I pergi Sabah on 8th Nov-11th Nov 2015 , tapi baru sekarang ada masa nak update..haih T.T

Alright without further due, let’s start with BUDGET of course!

(I’ll make it into bullet point so that senang korang baca k :) )

• Tempah tiket awal. I tempah tiket 2 months earlier b4 our vacation. Of course you kena buat perbandingan dulu which flight offer cheaper price. Fyi, utk domestik flight,kalau korang ada tendency utk beli cenderamata yg banyak kan,it’s better for you utk balik naik MAS or Malindo Airlines sebab include luggage allowance tak mcm Air Asia which you kena pay extra for luggage allowance. Okey? 
• Plan. Which one u want to go first? KK or Kundasang. It’s up to you which one is more convenient and which main place yg u nak pergi.Kalau korang rancang elok2,you boleh save up your budget seriously. 
• Bila dah rancang tarikh and tempat nak pergi baru boleh start survey harga hotel,fees semua tu. Utk traveller mcm kita ni,tak perlu duduk hotel mewah,cari hotel ckup untuk kita mandi dan tidur ok?

These are roughly bajet yg penting (accomodation,flight,fees,etc..) , for food or other fees tu depends on you or you can try look on other blog sebab I also did the same. 

• Untuk hotel I search dekat Agoda.com and Trivago.com . It’s the best site to search and compare hotels that suits your liking
• Untuk sewa kereta, memang susah nak dapat harga murah and Alhamdulillah I manage to find one by reading people’s blog. I guna khidmat Encik Shahril (016-5845909). Baik hati jugak sebab bagi kitaorg pakai kereta lebih masa but still xcharge pun. Ouh btw, kalau nak pergi Kundasang, it’s better not to use cute cars (viva,kancil,etc..) sebab kwasan pergunungan kan. Kitaorg punya kes pakai Viva sbb first time dtg,xthu pulak jalan dia berbukit spnjang masa. Ehehe 
• Bawa instant food dan roti sbb dkat Kundasang kedai bukak sampai jam 5 ptg or paling lewat 7 mlm. Unless kalau you menginap dekat pekan mybe KFC dekat area situ bukak waktu malam. Tapi in case, bawa je makanan siap2 okey? 
• Bawa baju tebal because it’s very cold okey, I’m not kidding. Maybe sebab waktu tu musim hujan ,tu yg sejuk sampai tidur pakai sweater and comforter.

Fashion Tips for Muslimah #1

Assalamualaikum :)

Its been quite a while for me to update my post kan. Rindu tak? Ecece .. (syok sendiri)

Alright. Harini first time saya nak bagi tips fashion. Hewhew. But first of all I want to make it clear that Im not a hijabista whatnot a fashionista. Im just an ordinary girl who love to wear skirts and dresses more than pants. That's all. :)

*Dahtu pasaipa hang nak bagi tips berfashion?

Okey2. Untuk pendekkan cerita, before further due, let me remind to all of you nak berpakaian (for Muslims) ada kod dia ye. I wrote it on my last post :  first struggle Allah make ease .

1) Less is more. 

Yes. For me Less is more. Don't go overboard by wearing too many outfit. Cukuplah pakai (sweater + skirt ) or ( 2 outfit + skirt) . If your skirt dah ada ropol2 macam tutu skirt, minimize it for your top.  Don't wear it together with top yang ada renda2. Definitely wrong dress code. Stick with the saying "less is more". 

2) Mix and Match

It's important to play mix and match correctly. Wear something that match perfectly with your skirt. You can go for colour blocking but I don't really know how to do it. I just play safe by mix and match it with earth color. You know, macam warna kelabu, hitam, coklat. Neon color is a no-no for me but depends on you guys. Its okey kalau nak pakai , no harm. Asalkan cukup tutup aurat. These are a few tips for mix and match that I found on the website. Enjoy :)

Cantik sangat kan? Okey its up to you nak beli skirt colour apa atau yang mcm mana. But I suggest you to buy basic colour skirt. Like black, dark blue or grey. Untuk nak keluar atau hangout dengan kawan , pastel skirt suits. So basically you need to have 2 types of colour. One is basic and another one is pastel. Again, its up to you nak color apa. This are just my suggestions.

3) Best to wear with.

As you can see from "mix and match" that these two things are great partner to wear with skirt. 

  a) Blouse/ Sweater 

  b) 2 outfit wear 

Nak pergi kuliah ke atau nak nampak casual boleh pakai blouse atau sweater dengan skirt. For me, I love to wear men's sweater. Longgar dan cantik jugak sebenarnya. Dekat Uniqlo, H&M , Topshop/Topman ada banyak sweater lelaki yang sesuai untuk perempuan juga.

4) IMPORTANT THINGS

Actually it doesn't really matter how you want to wear your outfit . Nak pakai dengan baju Tshirt "Milo" pun boleh sebenarnya. Muehehe. But this is very important to note down bila memakai skirt atau dress 

  a) Wear petticoat atau org melayu panggil "kain dalam" . Sometimes , pakaian atas bawah semua       dah cantik tapi bila pakai rupa2nya nampak bayang kaki. So, kenalah pakai inner wear sebagai alas     untuk tutup bayang kaki tu yea. Baru sempurna cara pemakaian. 

Nilah petticoat / kain dalam 

   b) Wear socks

   Bila dah pakai skirt/ dress mestilah asyik flip sana sini kan. Secara sengaja (nauzubillah) atau tak        sengaja ternampak kaki dan betis kita. So tak maulah macam tu. Dah nama Muslimah mesti kena        tutp     aurat dengan betul termasuk area kaki. So jangan lupa pakai socks tau. Lepas ni nak flip            skirt tu sana    sini pun boleh . :)
