Georgetown - An evening well spent

Assalamualaikum.

So , Friday haritu me and my friends jalan2 sekitar Georgetown. I bet, u would enjoy it like i do. Secara kebetulan sebenarnya. At first, our aim (amboi) nak pergi buat IC baru but then dapat tahu last minute yang JPN dah pindah ke cawangan lain.

tak kisahlah sebab boleh jalan-jalan kan. :D

So kitaorang naik bas rapid dari USM ke jeti. It took around 30 minutes or more kalau ada traffic congestion. But believe me,Penang without traffic jam is like never okey.

So dari Jeti we walk to Lebuh Downing which is near with bulatan telur pecah. I don't know exactly the name okey.

Jalan depan sikit ada Fort Cornwallis,tapi kalau nak masuk kena bayarlah okey. Nama pun tempat bersejarah. Anyway, please don't forget to try pasembur dekat Padang Kota Lama. Sumpah korang akan tambah sepuluh pinggan i tell you.

Tapi kitaorang tak jalan pun kat situ sebab we've been there before. 

We headed to Lebuh Armenian. Dekat situ ada banyak art street yang cantik2. Sumpah iolls tak tipu.

Along the street, memang berderet kedai-kedai lama yg old-school. Sumpah lawa. Benda-benda lama ni memang saya suka kecuali kalau pilih calon suami.

Memang sumpah banyak barang antik uolls. Macam zaman P.Ramlee gitu. Dalam kedai tu pun ada jual souvenier. The best thing is, kita boleh masuk kedai tu dan buat macam rumah sendiri. The owner memang tak kisah. Kau nak ambik gambar banyak mana, nak duduk buat macam rumah sendiri..haa boleh sangat. tapi nak makan minum beli kat luar. Dalam tarak jual.

The upper floor kedai antik yang kitaorang masuk ni memang tak ubah pembinaan dia sejak dulu. So kena hati-hati kalau nak jalan.

Dalam rumah tu siap ada pameran ic lama,dokumen dan surat-surat lama zaman nenek moyang diaorg. Preserve sungguh. Kau ada?

 Along the hallway ada banyak tampalan gambar dan poster dari majalah lama. Penat cari gambar kpop Sharifah Aini tapi semua gambar penyanyi cina.

The master bedroom semua barang lama-lama. Dari katil sampai ke bedak. Haa, bedak zaman dulu pun ada. Agak-agak kalau pakai efek apa entah kat muka.

Sekitar kedai rumah lama,macam-macam diaorang jual. I've entered one of the shop and ohemgee, I've found my childhood memories! Macam-macam gula-gula lama ada jual. Paperdoll yang saya main masa 6 tahun pun ada jual. But I bought it for 40 sen each before and they sell it for RM1 now. Terpaksa buat sendiri camni. : /

If you decide to walk around the street like us, jangan lupa beli air botol mineral dan kipas satu. Macam kipas ' Hello Kitty ' yang iolls beli. ihiks.

It is better for you to get a map sebab jalan dia agak banyak and confusing. Jangan risau, akan ada aunty yg jual souvenier dan sewa basikal tepi jalan bagi map free kat korang. Aunty tu akan tunjuk dekat map tempat-tempat yang best dan cakap " kalau you jalan banyak penat woo, sewa basikal maa~" . Nampak tak taktik bisnes kat situ. haha. Korang cakap je nak jalan kaki, bagi exercise. Apapun aunty tu memang friendly.

Dekat sini pun ada cofee house yang sumpah cantik iolls tak tipu korang okey.(baca sekali nafas)

Tapi kalau korang nak sewa basikal pun okey. Harga dia agak berpatutan. Harga dia start dari RM8 ++ depends on the bicycle. (apehal jadi promoter lak ni)

kat situ pun ada khidmat beca. Iolls dah tanya untuk korang harga naik beca (amboi), pak cik tu cakap satu jam RM40. Pak cik tu akan bawa sekitar Georgetown. Entahlah, kalau korang naik beca ni korang sanggup ke duduk tengok pak cik tu penat kayuh bawak korang. Kesian kan.

Kalau korang tak mampu nak naik beca,ambil gambar dengan beca pun jadilah.

Bukan apa, tapi ni first time kot masuk tokong. Haa, excited dia lain macam sikit. Terbayang-bayang jugak konon Jet Li lompat dari satu bumbung ke bumbung dan turun jumpa aku.

 Sumpah orang dalam dia sangat friendly and nice. Dahlah masa kitaorang sampai tu, Pak cik Cina tu baru cuci lantai tapi dia still benarkan kitaorang masuk. Terus i rasa muka dia macam Jet Li gitu. They even let us walk around freely. Yeay.

Lupa nak bagitau sepanjang jalan ni memang banyak kedai jual souvenier. So korang tak payah nak mengada-ngada beli cenderamata awal-awal. Survey dulu okey.

Kitaorang solat Asar dekat Masjid Melayu Lebuh Acheh. Masjid ni special sikit sebab dia mengharamkan orang untuk merokok sekitar kawasan masjid. Dalam masjid ni ada perkampungan kecil in which penduduk diaorang berasal dari Aceh.

Jalan-jalan depan sikit ada ramai orang berkerumun. I don't know exactly the name of the place tapi dekat situ semua orang jual benda buruk  terpakai . I tak tahulah apa yang best sangat. Barang dia pun tak tahu sama ada elok atau tak but there were a lot of people, orang tua especially.

then, before maghrib kitaorang balik naik bas rapid. kena jalan jauh sikit nak ke bas stesen.

Actually ada banyaaaak lagi tempat best dekat penang ni. pandai2lah tengok map n jangan lupa bawa backpack semua dan jalan2 sekitar penang. You won't know until you see it by your own.

My next plan? Teringin parasailling dekat Batu Ferenggi and rock climbing dekat Escape. Before this, dah try Jet ski sebab dapat harga murah. Korang bolehlah story moly dengan iolls. iolls suka dengar cerita dari orang yg travel2 ni. :)

p.s : btw, nama bulatan telur pecah tu Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Clock Tower. (nampak tak gigihnya aku google). Thanks to Radin jadi tourist guide tak berbayar , dia tak perlu map kot.

Why Don't I Have A Boyfriend

I am a sister of a man who is proud of my purity, so I don’t want to disappoint them, and most of all I don’t want to disappoint a third man who is my future husband and the father of my children in sha Allah. I am preserving myself to him only.

My mom raised me to be a righteous woman so that I deserve a righteous man. She never raised me to be a toy in any boy’s hand, but she raised me to complete the Deen of a pious man.Also, I am not an easy girl who would be impressed with sweet love words, but I am a proud Muslimah who is just like a pearl in its shell. No one can touch it but a brave man who would value it and cherish its beauty. 

Dear Muslimah's. Know your worth, and Be that One In Million who love to have the love of their Lord more than the love of a boyfriend!

hijab

Assalamualaikum.

I'm gonna make it a kiss (keep it simple and short) and insyaAllah bermanfaat.

I remember the first time i started pakai tudung. Masa tu Form 1, lepas baligh. First time pakai, i don't remember that feeling much, sebab dah lama. But I wear it because i know lepas baligh, memang wajib pakai tudung. My mom said to me and my sister did that, and guess maybe i pun kena follow. Dulu tak banyak sangat penekanan pasal hijab. What i know is that i have to wear it. I have to walaupun tak suka. Masa dulu-dulu bila baru nak masuk dunia remaja, i don't really take hijab seriously. I mean, i do wear tudung, but my other outfit does not covered me properly. I wear tudung, but not hijab. You get what i mean right. I feel like tudung is just a matter of covering your hair only. That's it. But I forgot about my 'other' part. I think that it is much revealing to show your body than to reveal your hair (but still you have to wear hijab okey darling :) )..

There are times when i feel jealous to see beautiful chicks showing off their flocks of hair because i know i can be that beautiful too ( PANG sikit muka. kbye) but then again, i restrict myself saying no, pakai tudung is much better. Keep it for your 'halal'.

There are times where hijab has been raise as a fashion statement. Banyak org bertudung ni keluarkan statement;

"Even bertudung pun boleh bergaya"

they came out with a lot of hijab style. Ada yang style loose,berbelit lah,berbalutlah.. whatever it is lah asalkan ada tudung.

and they call themselve "hijabista"

menipu sangatlah kalau aku tak terikut kalau dah siap tonton tutorial dekat you tube. Perempuan. memang suka nampak cantik.

I do wear loose style hijab back then. Bila jalan keluar dengan kawan rasa macam cool sebab "in-trend" (kasi calar tangan sikit). Then, tak puas lagi, lagi banyak style pulak yang nak cuba.

I'm not saying it is not good. It is good sebab you cover yourself. But,then where is your intention darling? Pakai sebab nak nampak hebat? I reflect back a lot until now.

Fashion is fun to follow, tapi lama-kelamaan boleh bagi hilang fokus. you sibuk nak tiru orang cantik pakai tudung whatsoever until you forgot what is the purpose of you wearing it.

You wear it because you are proud of being a muslim.

Nowadays we can see a lot of people pakai tudung,even selebriti. Tapi tak ramai yang masih lagi berhijab secara betul, yes i remind this to myself too.

Berhijab is when you cover your aurat. Tudung baru cover rambut. Aurat kena jaga sebab benda tu aib dan boleh bawa fitnah. Allah dah jaga aib kita tapi kita pula pergi buka pekung.

We see 'this and this' celebrity wears hijab and it looks beautiful and we start to follow them.
or maybe, someone said to you, you look beautiful in hijab.
Darling bring back the upmost intention. It's all because of Allah.

We all know, kita ni produk islam, show it. Be proud of it.
You don't go and wear hijab and said because my boyfriend ask me to wear it.

seriously -_- .

Bring back the upmost intention of wearing hijab. It's not because you want to look stylish or beautiful. It is because you know how to appreciate yourself and you know Allah loves you. And that Allah wants to protect you and see you in Jannah. That is why Allah ask you to wear hijab. All because of love. His love.

and i know i'm not perfect and sometimes seeing " geng budak tudung labuh " makes me feel really humble. All the time.

i need to remind myself a lot too yang perempuan yang tidak bertudung ni pun kadang2 lebih baik. Maybe pengharapan dia pada Allah lebih dalam berbanding kita atau boleh jadi, setiap saat dia keluar tidak menutup aurat, dia merasakan seperti jilatan api ,cuma dia perlukan sedikit semangat untuk berhijab. We never know. And that if you are one of it, pakailah. Simpy because Allah loves you. Appreciate His love okey darling. :)

Please don't go and say, tak sampai seru. Hidayah tak perlu seru, dia perlukan kefahaman. Kalau kita boleh pulun nak faham lagu Korea, maybe we can try to understand what is the reason for Allah asking us to cover our aurat?

and don't ever think that "ada je budak pakai tudung yang jahat". Nauzubillah. So better you tak payah pergi buat Haji sebab ada je org yg tunaikan haji yang tak dapat hidayah.

So, you shouldn't say that. Ever .

“Your body is sacred. You’re far more precious than diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered too.”

And bear in mind that.

"Hijab is not a fashion statement, but a religion statement. "


I strongly remind that what i wrote , please don't judge me. All this looking good coming from me because of my deen, not because of me dan sebab Allah tutup aib saya. and i'm still in learning process.
